About

Integration for Everyone is a podcast with a goal: learn about refugee integration programs in Germany and share them with the world. When you listen, you will hear stories and lessons from people across Germany who help refugees.

However, this is not a platform offering suggestions on how refugees can “integrate better.” Rather, this podcast is a look at how society can adapt to suit the needs of refugees and newcomers. To do this, guests are those who work to help refugees adapt to life in Germany and have discovered what hurdles they face.

Who will you hear?

Reporters who deliver important news like Julia and Asmaa at Amal, Berlin!

Others are advocates who help raise awareness of refugees resettlement programs like Jo from Potsdam Konvoi.

More, like Stephan at Wilkommen in Falkensee help, volunteer to lead community programs connecting newcomers to locals.

And more to come.

Integration is for everyone

All have stories to tell, and each contributes lessons on how to improve the systems that refugees face. These lessons can even suggest how to improve society as a whole. That’s the meaning of Integration for Everyone, each side learning from and adapting to the needs of the other.

When we begin finding lessons that are not only beneficial to refugees but also improve the host country we begin to see refugee integration not as a burden but as an opportunity.

Don’t speak German?

That’s no problem, all of our conversations are in English with the occasional German word. This podcast serves as a bridge to make sure that the lessons learned in Germany don’t stay only in the German-speaking sphere. You can often find English stories in the larger news organizations but they are becoming fewer as other current events take the spotlight. This podcast is to ensure that stories continue to be told.
